A master's job is
never done, it lives on through the ages.
The Officers of Clovis Lodge were installed on January 18, 1924 under the watchful eye of R. R. Landers who was installed as Master of the Lodge for the ensuing Masonic year.
One of the first orders of business was the reading of a Grand Lodge Edict regarding the allowable use of the "Cipher Ritual" that was until this illegal to be used in Lodge. It was read again in the following two months.
In June of this year the Lodge traveled to Big Creek California to confer two third degrees, the first being conferred by the members of Clovis Lodge and the second being conferred by members of the local Masonic District, these degrees were done in the Big Creek Masonic Club House.
The Lodge was again dark in the two summer months and it was back to Big Creek in September , this time to confer five second degrees.
In December, a donation was sought by the Parent Teacher Association for the purchase of the "Annual Community Christmas Tree" and a private donation was received after the Lodge was closed.
On June 25, 1974 Bro. Robert Roy Landers, passed away. Kind words spoken were, "We extend our heartfelt sympathy to his family and friends." |
